In 2173, the Aliquippa Carriage Company entered into a contract with the legislature on the planet of Hatword to refurbish seventeen out-of-date cargo spacecrafts from Octula for use as passenger vehicles for Hatwordians.
Everyone who has ever had contractual dealings with the Hatword entities complains bitterly about their indecisiveness and unwillingness to accept anything until it has been reworked to perfection, but the Earthlings at Aliquippa were determined to make a success of the project.
Almost immediately issues arose, and the staff at Aliquippa worked quickly to resolve them, without much success. Of course, as frustrations mounted, the project managers started to enter their private thoughts into the issues list.

What can I say? The title says it all I think.This book started out as a list of reasons why the character is frustrated, and it does so in rather specific detail.
If I had wanted to deal with this kind of detailed outlining of frustration I could just go and hang out with friends.
For me it seemed too pedestrian from the beginning and I got bored and simply stopped reading the book before I got too much further in.
When I read Science Fiction I am looking for an escape from the humdrum. A chance to expand and explore. New species? COOL. New galaxies? awesome. Action? adventure? interspecies interactions? discovery? all great elements found in most SCiFi... did not find it here.
Maybe it has redeeming factors as you get further in, but I felt I did not want to waste time trying to find out.

The tone throughout tends to be appropriately businesslike, but the characters manage to shine through pretty admirably. Definitely a good read.
